About Us
We are an independent, family owned craft brewery located in at the intersection of the Roosevelt and Encanto neighborhoods in Downtown Phoenix. We have been making unique, flavorful beers using high-quality local and seasonal ingredients since May 2022. Our beer range includes everything from funky saisons and sours to modern IPAs and ales. Situated in the historic building that housed Easley’s Fun Shop for over 70 years, we aim to continue the tradition of a family business with a strong community focus. Our small, dedicated team is the heart behind our delicious beer and the personal connections we foster in our space.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Taproom Manager who thrives on a small team in a startup environment and is passionate about craft beer and cultivating an inclusive, vibrant community.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience managing a bar or taproom
- Experience proposing, planning, and executing events
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with modern collaboration tools (Gmail, calendars, etc.) and the ability to learn new software (Toast POS, Adobe tools)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task
- Knowledgeable and passionate about craft beer
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and events
Responsibilities
Supervision and Leadership
- Hire, train, and manage taproom staff
- Provide feedback and coach the team on excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean, stocked taproom and implement processes for smooth operations
Customer Service and Hospitality
- Ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors
- Train staff to be knowledgeable about beer styles and customer interactions
- Address customer feedback and complaints calmly and professionally
Event Management
- Propose, plan, and execute special taproom events
- Schedule weekly events and vendors such as food trucks to enhance the taproom experience
- Manage our Rose Bunch membership program
- Collaborate with the management team to grow the taproom community
Operations
- Monitor inventory of draft and packaged beer, food items, and taproom essentials
- Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate with the brewing team
Compensation
- Salary based on experience, plus 2 bartending shifts ($15/hr + tips)
